13 Daze — Episode 5

How do you move on when your home still smells like them? When every flicker of light, every shadow on the wall, still feels like love? When the person you built your whole life with disappears, but their ghost never leaves the room? 13 Daze is a slow burn story about love, loss, and moments that replay forever in your head. Dane Renard and Jackie Reese were the internet's favorite couple- funny, beautiful, unstoppable. Every argument turned into content, every kiss into a cip. Their fans watched them grow together online, but what no one saw was the quiet collapse happening off camera. Now, thirteen days after Jackie's sudden disappearance from his life. Dane can't move on. He lives surrounded by their memories: their ring light, the videos, and the couch where they filmed everything. Every frame reminds him of what he lost. But before the end, there were signs. Cracks hidden under laughter, apologies left unsaid, love turning into something fragile and desperate. This series unfolds in two timelines - thirteen days before and thirteen days after Jackie's gone. Every episode captures the contrast between warm nostalgia and cold reality. The before bathed in color and comfort, the after drowned in darkness and silence. The apartment becomes a time capsule. The ring light becomes both a halo and a haunting. The camera never stops rolling, even when everything else does. Thirteen days before, they were perfect. Thirteen days after, he's falling apart. Between them lies the truth. Love doesn't die: it lingers. It haunts.*This entry is participating in the ReelShort Reel Vertical Impact contest
