Before the demon hunter Karen set off for battle, he planned to propose. His father Marquis Voss forged a fake dark plague document out of class prejudice to separate him from his lover Elowen. To save Karen, Elowen staged a betrayal with her friend Loran and gave birth to their son Merrick alone. Six years later, Karen returned as a powerful leader.
